SXSW 2023

Return to Office Data Will Shift Skylines

Description:

Return To Office has raised questions around how, when, and why we use space; data has answers. In this session, leaders across workplace design, building measurement, and city research will explore how the evolution of the office will reshape the future of cities. Their discussion will speak to the power of data at scale to inform how we improve the human experience in the built environment, specifically how measurement of office use today is already affecting design –– from floor plans to city centers –– and how it will eventually shift skylines. And, they will explore learnings from RTO data, Gensler’s 2023 City Pulse Survey, and case studies in data-driven design solutions that focus on talent attraction and retention.
